Just a few pics from Zambia and Zimbabwe. It was really cool walking across the border of these two countries although as a Canadian it proved very expensive. While the British and even US citizens can get a multiple entry visa for relatively cheaply, Canadians are limited to single-entry visas only at $75 a pop. I spent $225 just on Zimbabwean visas alone, but it was worth it.
I'm really glad I took the time to talk to this guy. If I hadn't, I never would have discovered Angel's Pool.
Jon showing me how it's done. He's been coming here as a kid and sometimes jumps off just to relax
My taxi man in Livingstone. Most of the cars here have been exported from Japan as second-hand vehicles. They are usually about 10 years old and are bought by taxi companies and leased to drivers like this fellow who then slowly pay them off. He says in about 2 years this car will be his, which he was very proud about.
I was crossing into Zimbabwe when this guy's bike tipped over spilling his cargo all over the pavement. I took this picture after helping him pack everything back up and it was a real bitch righting that bicycle because the load was so heavy. Took three people! He was bringing back a fortnight's worth of rice, potatoes and other food stuffs to his family.
Experiencing the world and loving every second of it.
